he latest work of Masashi Iwasaki, explorer of original expressions of human body through computer graphics gives an impression that the centered form extends over the surrounding area by the medium of limitless number of lines.
Composed of 3 kinds of computer-generated freehand drawings in 2m by 1.4m per piece, the work highlights and amplifies the organic silhouette of the human figure in the center concentrically or back and forth, adding a new dimension to the plan. On the other hand, the numberless contours at even intervals as echo amplitude of the core figure accentuate that organic curve line coolly and dynamically.
Anyway, it appears certain that the simple and vivid contrast between the red background and the white line is an embodiment of the modern encounter between something organic and inorganic, that is to say, the exchange between human beings and technology.

縦2メートル、横1.4メートルほどの平面作品が3点。コンピュータで描いたシルエットのような人体の輪郭線が、左右方向や同心円状に増幅され、新たな効果を生み出す。等間隔で繰り返す輪郭線は機械的な感触を与える一方で、中央に浮かび上がるシルエットの有機的な曲線を強調する。
赤地に白線のシンプルな配色にも、生体とテクノロジーの現代的な出会いが象徴されている。
