"GREETING" EXHIBITION STATEMENT "KALEIDOSCAPE", 2020
hank you for visiting us today. Kurashiki University of Science and the Arts Art Space Zone will hold a solo exhibition "Kaleidoscape" by Masashi Iwasaki. Iwasaki is a computer graphics artist who is enrolled in the graduate school of our university and is producing and researching. In this exhibition, several works that strongly reflect Iwasaki's theme of physicality will be exhibited.
In the work "Abyss", Iwasaki's own blood is used, and in "Kaleidoscape" and "Mindtube", his various body fluids and secretions are used as the source of the work. The image processing sublimates it into a beautiful work with high brilliance, which shakes our concept of beauty or ugliness. In addition, the sculpture "Void" using himselves silhouette asks about the absence of the body, which is the information environment that exists today, and "Rotohead" is a toy work that induces a barren game that rotates around. These may be portraits that represent the fragility of our existence in modern society.
The exhibition title "Kaleidoscape" is a coined word by Iwasaki, which is a synthetic of kaleidoscope and landscape. Installations will be made with digital graphic works including jumbo prints and three-dimensional works using analog woodworking techniques. Please enjoy the mysterious scenery as if today's real and virtual worlds are intricately intertwined.

“ごあいさつ” 展覧会趣意書 “カレイドスケープ” ，2020
日はご来場ありがとうございます。倉敷芸術科学大学・アートスペース・ゾーンでは、岩崎正嗣個展「カレイドスケープ」を開催します。岩崎は、本学の大学院に在籍し、制作・研究をしているコンピュータ・グラフィックスのアーティストです。本展では、岩崎がしばしばテーマとする身体性が色濃く反映された作品が、複数点展示されます。
日はご来場ありがとうございます。倉敷芸術科学大学・アートスペース・ゾーンでは、岩崎正嗣個展「カレイドスケープ」を開催します。岩崎は、本学の大学院に在籍し、制作・研究をしているコンピュータ・グラフィックスのアーティストです。本展では、岩崎がしばしばテーマとする身体性が色濃く反映された作品が、複数点展示されます。
作品「アビス」では岩崎自らの血液が、「カレイドスケープ」と「マインドチューブ」では自身の様々な体液や分泌液が、作品のソースとして用いられています。画像処理により光輝性の高い美しい作品へと昇華され、私たちの清濁の概念がゆさぶられます。また岩崎自身のシルエットを用いた彫刻作品「ヴォイド」は今日ある情報環境という身体の不在性を問い、「ロトヘッド」はくるくると回転する不毛な遊戯を誘発する玩具的作品となっています。これらは現代社会における私たちの存在の脆弱さをあらわすポートレートなのかもしれません。
展覧会タイトルの「カレイドスケープ」は、カレイドスコープとランドスケープとが合成された岩崎による造語です。ジャンボプリントを含むデジタルグラフィックの作品と、アナログな木工技術を用いた立体作品とで、インスタレーションがなされます。今日のリアルとバーチャルの世界が複雑に錯綜するかのような不思議な景観を、どうぞお楽しみください。
